Phoenix Sports Radio Station Adds National Sports Gaming Show

The Daily Line is the first nationally syndicated weekday sports talk show focused on sports gambling.

KQFN “The Fanatic” becomes its first Arizona radio affiliate!

September 30th, 2019 – It’s been over a year since a US Supreme Court ruling cleared the way for States to decide on legal sports gambling. Since then sports wagering is now legal in 11 states, while another 24 states including Arizona have introduced legislation. Illegal sports wagering in the US has been estimated to top $150 billion dollars annually.  Now Phoenix sports radio station KQFN “The Fanatic” is excited to debut national radio syndicator Westwood One’s first sports gaming program. The Daily Line will be heard weekdays from 1-3pm. Hosted by veteran sports personalities Tim Murray and Michael Jenkins in Washington, DC, and recent addition Sara Perlman, The Daily Line discusses the biggest topics in sports, but with a gambling focus that includes analysis of betting odds, point spreads and line movements. The Daily Line debuted nationally in January and looks at sports through the lens of the bettor, which resonates now more than ever in the daily discussion of sports in America.

“We are excited to be the first radio station in Arizona to air a daily program focusing on the popular sports gaming industry,” says Ron Cohen, president of CRC Broadcasting. “The addition of the The Daily Line completes a recent transformation to our weekday programming with our newly added Bruce Jacobs and Dale Hellestrae morning show, nationally popular Jim Rome, and ever entertaining The Daily Blender in afternoon drive”

Jacobs and Helly, with longtime local radio personality Bruce Jacobs and three-time Super Bowl champion Dale Hellestrae were recently added to start The Fanatic’s day with dynamic and opinionated sports talk from 5:30-10am. CBS Sports talk radio legend Jim Rome follows for three hours leading into The Daily Line (1-3pm), which then hands off to The Daily Blender (3-6pm), a fun listener-interactive sports entertainment show. Hosts Jeffry O’Brien, Eric Cohen, and Randy White cover the day’s sports in a compelling comedic/fan participation format.
