Saturday Morning Tailgate Show with Jeff Dean and Mike Grose
Saturday Morning Tailgate is your Saturday morning local sports show focusing on High School, College and NFL Football. Hosted by Jeff Dean and Mike Grose airs Saturdays 10am-1pm.
Jeff Dean was born in Tucson, AZ in 1976 (obviously from the picture) and born into a heavily sports-influenced family, Jeff was quickly introduced to Arizona sports and specifically the rivalry between Arizona State and the University of Arizona. His father’s side being ASU alums while his mother’s side being U of A alums. Jeff also realized at an early age that he had an affinity for radio broadcasts and a natural gift of gab, which is what drove him to land his first radio job at the age of 19 when he began working for Owen’s Broadcasting in Tempe. He has since spent 20+ years in radio broadcasting and his love for sports naturally led him into the talk radio industry which culminated in an afternoon drive radio show in Phoenix in the mid-2000s. Recently, Jeff has partnered with a pair of local entrepreneurs to grow a live entertainment business in the Valley, a job which keeps him busy full-time.
Mike Grose is the popular and well educated anchor of the highly rated “AZ Sports Talk Saturday” on KDUS for over 10 years. Grose first started out as a producer on the Roc and Wolf Gameday when the show aired on KMVP 860, but quickly jumped up to the show’s number one fill-in on Saturdays, then eventually took it over. He was instrumental in launching former Arizona Cardinal Bertrand Berry radio career as both hosted a show together middays on NBC Sports 1060. Grose is a former Sports Information Director who grew up in the friendly confines of Detroit, Michigan.
