The FANTASY BASEBALL RAP w/ Michael & Deron: Back in the fall of 1986, two kids from the Midwest struck up a friendship as freshmen at Grand Canyon College in Phoenix. The friendship has stood the test of time, resulting in an unmatched chemistry, as they co-host The Fantasy Baseball Rap on the Valley’s brand new sports station, The Fanatic. In addition to co-hosting the show, Michael Potter also serves as the play-by-play announcer for Grand Canyon University Athletics, a gig he has enjoyed for the last eight years. A media relations veteran, Deron Filip worked as Sports Information Director at Grand Canyon University, and was later employed by the Continental Basketball Association as Director of Media Relations for the league office. This is the second go-around for Michael and Deron as radio co-hosts together. They also produced The Fantasy Baseball Show on ESPN Radio in Phoenix from 2002 to 2004. In addition to their current show, they also record The Fantasy Baseball Rap weekly podcast.
