Big Jeff’s Big Draft Board Presented by Lerner and Rowe

We’re just days away from the NFL’s version of Christmas morning and fans across the league want to know if their team drafted for need, or if they drafted the best guy available. That’s why I prefer to do a big board as opposed to a mock draft. It allows the fans to analyze their team’s intentions when that card is read by the commissioner on Thursday night. There is not a complex science to my big board. I simply watch A LOT of college football and talk to people who work closely with these players and their coaches.

I rank players based on:

A) Physical tools and production at the collegiate level

B) importance of the position they play at the next level,

C) intangibles such as work ethic, leadership, intelligence, and love for the game (a factor that led me to drop the likes of Matt Leinart and Vince Young in previous drafts). So with that being said, I present to you my 2017 Big Draft Board. Enjoy!

He’s not getting a lot of chatter right now because of where he played and the fact that he is a little rigid in his movement. The dude is an absolute adonis though and hits as hard as a truck. Think Greg Lloyd from the 1990s Steelers teams…
